Benjamin Nabea Davis

I am a proud Saibai and Waiben island man who is on a journey connecting to my culture through art.

 

Growing up I was disconnected from my culture and didn’t want to accept that side of myself. After being drafted to the Adelaide Crows in 2017, I met and was influenced by strong Indigenous men who were grounded in their culture. It made me realise understanding our culture and where we have been allows us to know where we are going. It lit a fire in me to begin this journey and learn more about who I am and who my people are.

This journey is one I will be on for the rest of my life and is one that I’m very thankful for.
